The Experience
Comfortable, fun, memorable

Create, laugh, relax

"I can't express enough how special our engagement photos are to us, and how you captured our vision PERFECTLY. We could not have asked for a better experience with you--from how comfortable you made us feel, to embracing my vision, to the quick turnaround time. We cannot thank you enough. We are certain we will see you again for future milestones (or just for fun!!!) With love, The Future Carters.
What's a shoot like with you?
FUN, as it should be!
To sum it up, comfortability is my priority during your session. In order to capture the natural state of being that I'm looking to preserve, feeling relaxed and confident will allow that to flow right in. We’ll probably play some music, share a few laughs, and I might even throw in a bad joke or two.
Also, I’ll usually do whatever it takes for the shot. I might jump in the ocean, the mud, or climb something precarious. For family sessions, I'll even hold your little one in one hand and camera in the other so mom and dad can get a shot just the two of them!
Overall I just want your session to feel like hanging with a friend. Getting photos done can sometimes feel pressurized and stressful. In my experience, the more spontaneity you let in, the closer you get to your pinterest board lol! Let's create something real!
For family sessions - I want your kiddos to feel free and un-forced, because smiles are a feeling, not a prompt! During a family session I love to have the little ones do things that engage them. I really love doing this because sometimes if they're doing an activity, they feel less camera pressure and overall just have a more enjoyable experience with photoshoots. Some examples: painting, cuddling with you, blowing bubbles, dancing/running/jumping, exploring nature, flying a kite, picking flowers, building a sandcastle, playing with their favorite toy, playing tag, drawing with chalk---the list goes on and on! If you're worried your kids aren't "good" for photos let them be them, and watch the magic unfold.
For couples - If you’re newly engaged or celebrating your love with a “just because” session, I want to capture you in a way that feels authentic and true to who you are—nothing forced or overly posed, just the real connection between two people. Whether it’s quiet moments of tenderness, bursts of laughter, or the way you naturally fit together, I’m here to document the beautiful bond you share. I usually play some of your favorite music to get the vibes going, creating a relaxed atmosphere where you can just enjoy each other’s company. I want you to feel like you're in a movie that tells your love story! We'll embrace and create a space where you can simply be yourselves, whether that's silly, or serious! My goal is to let your love shine through in every frame, raw and honest. These aren’t just photos; they’re pieces of your story, preserved.
For expecting mammas - Let’s celebrate the beauty of this incredible journey your body is on, no matter how your little one came to be. Whether through natural conception, IVF, or any other path, your story deserves to be honored and cherished. As for the experience, we'll do a mix of movement based posing along with those beautiful, still shots that let you pause to capture the strength and radiance that comes with motherhood. While I have yet to be blessed to become a momma, I’ve had the privilege of having deep conversations with amazing women who have shared their stories about the struggles of watching their bodies change. With that in mind, creating a space where you feel confident and comfortable is super, super important to me. I’m here to help you embrace this chapter with love and empowerment.
This is my first photoshoot and I’m kind of nervous.
It’s completely normal to feel nervous, but don’t worry—I’ve got you! I’ll guide you every step of the way and create a relaxed, fun atmosphere. By the end, it’ll feel less like a photoshoot and more like spending time with a friend.
What should I wear?
Choosing what to wear can feel tricky, but my advice is to keep it simple and true to you! Neutral tones, earthy colors, and soft textures photograph beautifully and allow the focus to stay on you. Think about what makes you feel confident and comfortable.
How many pictures will I receive?
The number of photos you’ll receive depends on the type of session, but I always aim to deliver a generous collection of the best moments. On average, you can expect around 50-100+ images for a standard session, all carefully edited and curated to tell your story beautifully.
Do you offer rain dates?
Absolutely! If the weather isn’t cooperating, we can reschedule to ensure you get the best possible experience and photos. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and work with you to find a new date that works perfectly.
are you willing to travel?
Yes, I love to travel! Whether it’s a nearby town or a destination miles away, I’m happy to come to you and capture your story. Let’s chat about the details and make it happen!
can you recommend locations?
Of course! I have a list of favorite spots that offer stunning backdrops, whether you’re looking for mountains, fields, forests, or something more urban. I’m also happy to scout new locations that fit your vision perfectly. Let’s collaborate to find the perfect setting for your session!
